Veronica Chuchu

Chuchu is a Veterinary surgeon currently pursuing Master of Science in Veterinary Epidemiology andEconomics at the University of Nairobi and MSc Fellow at Kenya Medical Research Institute. Her research focuses on rabies elimination. She has majorly been involved in rabies surveillance in Makueni County where she conducted her MSc research work on assessing the efficacy of short message system telephony on compliance with rabies post exposure prophylaxis regimen by human cases of dog bites. Dr. Chuchu is also conducting a study on the economic impact of rabies disease in Kenya: A case of Makueni County, funded through the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH). She has great interest in Global health and infectious diseases and is keen to pursue her PhD in this area.
