Josphat Muema

Received his MSc in Applied Epidemiology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture &amp Technology (JKUAT) and advanced level residency training on epidemiology from Field Epidemiology and Laboratory training Program (FELTP). He is currently an epidemiologist at Washington State University – global health Kenya program and a PhD fellow at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases. His research is focused on applied research at the human-animal-ecosystem interface for understanding the burden and transmission dynamics and strengthening surveillance, prevention, and control of infectious zoonotic diseases and their impact on maternal and child nutritional outcomes. His work is in close collaboration with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations and United Nations International Children’s Fund in Kenya.
