Comprehensive nutrient gap assessment in selected countries in Eastern and Southern Africa as part of the UNICEF-BMGF Regional Sustained Improvements This site provides insights into nutritional gaps of infants between 6 months and 23 months of age where breastfeeding is not sufficient to meet their nutritional requirements. The data is collected from three countries: Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda. The researchers have devised a method called Comprehensive Nutrient Gap Assessment (CONGA) to assess the prevalence of nutrient gaps in these countries. CONGA uses a combination of dietary intake data, biochemical data, and clinical data to identify nutrient gaps and their public health significance.
