Is pursuing a PhD in Tropical and Infectious.Diseases at the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases. Her PhD study is focused on developing and optimizing methods for genomic surveillance of rabies virus in East Africa with the aim of addressing timely applied questions about the transmission, spread and persistence and diversity of rabies virus in East Africa. Her PhD is jointly supervised with Prof Katie Hampson and Dr Kirstyn Brunker from the University of Glasgow and is funded through the Wellcome Trust and the NIHR Application of Genomics and Modelling to the Control of Virus Pathogens (GeMVi) project.
